Our Milestones
New England Chinese American Alliance (NECAA) was founded on 11/16/2020. It is a non-profit 501C4 organization based in the New England region, aimed at promoting Chinese American participation in community and civic engagements, improving Chinese Americans’ quality of life and competitiveness, and enhancing Chinese Americans’ influence in the United States. In less than three years, we have:
Spearheaded large events advocating for inclusion and solidarity
- Anti-Asian Rally and Run (3/27/2021, Marathon route and Boston Common)
- AAPI History in k-12 curriculum Campaign (4/11/2021, Boston Common)
- Unity Against Hate Nationwide Rally (5/15/2021, Boston Common)
- AAPI History inclusion charitable concert (11/11/2021, Lexington high school)
- AAPI Heritage Month Celebration and Rally: Advancing Unity, Solidarity, and Belonging (5/15/2022, Boston Marathon route and Boston Common)
Facilitated cultural and community discussion
- Hosted 37 webinars featuring prominent speakers such as Professor Ezra Feivel Vogel, Professor Peter Kees Bol, Prof. Lu Shan, Leverett Wing, Congressman Jake Auchincloss, and more
Actively engaged the Chinese community in political campaigns
- Hosted fundraising events for Michelle Wu, Ed Flynn, Amy Mah Sangiolo, Eileen Jay, Tanisha Sullivan, Tami Gouveia, Chris Dempsey, Anthony Amore, and Maura Healey.
- Raised over $300,000 from the Chinese American community for Michelle Wu
- Assisted Mayor Wu with campaigning in New Hampshire (10//22/2022); assisted Vice President Kamala Harris in campaigning for Maura Healey; participated in the Massachusetts Democratic Party election night event and celebrated the successful election of Maura Healey and Kim Driscoll (11/8/2022)
Advocated for social justice and expanded community services
- Co-organized a fundraising event for “Peace to Ukraine”
- Invited by the Massachusetts government and legislature to organize a Chinese American community day for visiting and touring the state government (11/18/2022)
- Aided disadvantaged individuals in fundraising, legal aid, and housing
- Participated in Winter Walk 2023-Boston (2/12/2023)
- Sponsored Blood Donation event with the Red Cross Association for “One Boston Day (4/14/2023)

* Nationwide Vigil for Atlanta Mass Murder Victims (3/20/2021, Hastings park, Lexington, MA)

* 1st anniversary to remember victims of Atlantic shooting (3/17/2022, Boston Chinatown)
* Candlelight Vigil for the Doolittle Raiders and 320,000 Chinese (4/18/2022, Boston Chinatown)
* Commemoration of Kittie Knox, the first African American woman cyclist in the 19th century (6/7/2022, Boston Charles River)
* Candlelight vigil to mourn the victims of the Monterey Park mass shooting (1/28/2023)
